AN ACT CREATING THE PROVINCE OF DINAGAT ISLAND
Charter of the Province of Dinagat Island.”
Province of Dinagat Island consisting of the municipalities of Basilisa, Cagdianao,
Dinagat, Libjo (Albor), Loreto, San Jose and Tubajon with the following
boundaries:
Bounded on the North, starting from the desolation po 1 int is Surigao Strait;
on the East by the Philippine Sea; on the South-East by Dinagat sound; on the
South by Gaboc Channel and Nonoc Island; on the South-West by Awasan Bay,
Hanigad Island and Hikdop Island; and on the West by Surigao Strait.
Capital Town and Seat of Government. – The capital town and
seat of government of the new Province of Dinagat Island shall be the Municipality
of San Jose.
Residence and Office. – During the incumbency of the governor,
he shall have his official residence and office in the designated capital of the
province. All elective and appointive provincial officials shall hold office in the
provincial capital: Provided, That upon the resolution of the sangguniang
panlalawigan, elective and appointive provincial officials may hold office in any
component city or municipality within the province for a period of not more than
seven days for any given month.
Disqualifications. – The following persons are not qualified from
running for any elective position in the province:
-Those with dual citizenship;
-Permanent residents in a foreign country or those who have acquired
the right to reside abroad and continue to avail of the same right after the effectivity
of the Local Government Code of 1991

Another killing happened in Libjo just last week, gitigbas, nahabwa ang tinai,dead on arival sa hospital,the body was found by Elmer Peña,a high school teacher on his way to osmeña,the news was spread at 10pm and every people were found at the streets talking about it until 11pm. He lived in Albor for sometime now,renting the house of Nong Mando just at the back of the house of Larry Boquillon.I dont know the person well pero ang estorya sa mga taw buotan ni and way kontra. He was nicknamed "Matrix" because he sometimes act and look like the one in the movie. A PBMA member i would think because he is the body guard of our beloved Vice Mayor who happen to be a member too. The police has no lead of the case whatsoever. Another Case-less killing then. Now do you think we'll be safer when Dinagat Island will become a province?

Seriously, I think It happened only to LIBJO, and this will make a trend to the new province that your beloved town will become an unsafe place if dili actionan nan ijo lokal na kagamhanan!!!! As far as I know, Dinagat island is the safest place on earth. walang terrorista,hold-uper, prostitutes, etcetera....Corruptions, natural lang ton, anywhere may corruption pero kun ijo bantayan siguro mawaya ra....

What the hecks happening in LIBJO? Do u think PBMA members behind this as what our good friends here relates pagmay crime? I dont think so. I think this problem is happening only to more ubanized places. Or, iguro it maybe connected to the creation of Dianagat as a province. Mga pangsamoksamok lang ba na funded by anybody that wants our place became unstable and the people becomes confuzed. Pero I still believed our Local Police and Government. Kulang lang siguro sa Police...

SINO firm to invest $4 million in Surigao mining
The signing of those people are neede because they are the present local govt. that time, alanganing si matugas ang pepirma. And also they invested it w/ their group, Pero ang main investors are the chinse and some Filpinos. Ang makuha nan province are the taxes not the profit of those investors or the local group. so ang bantayan nan mga tawo sa DI are how they gonna put the income if ever magstart na and hain pasingod. Anyway, jaon naman Lokal/provincial agency na hahawak nan ini. di naman bastabasta mawawala ang kwarta kay our national govt. ay paiba-iba specially na elections na sab. So the only thing that a politicians get out of this are thru investment din, this is normal, look at everyehere sa pinas, sinoy may businessess? mga politician ra sab thru their cronies. Pero Im not saying that theyll do this here pero, common sense nalang, pagmoney ang hisgutan everybody wants to have or to be part of it....

im quite amazed na daghan nagcomments... the stories of murder and robbery shocked mi. grabe ang description, pang rotten.com. anyway, dinagat is rich in mineral resources... the local government should watch over these companies so as to avoid problems.... just think after mahurot ang mineral deposits, unsa ang mabilin sa libjo? just asking if libjo has a local tax ordinance regarding local taxes it can imposed to these comapnies such as rea; property tax and local business tax as a matter of right provided for in the 1991 Local Government Code.

Is Dinagat is now a Province?

As I download the adobe of the Bill No. 884 which is "AN ACT CREATING THE PROVINCE OF DINAGAT ISLAND". Here's an excerpt from the bill:
SECTION 1. Title. – This Act shall be known as the “Charter of the4
Province of Dinagat Island.”
SEC. 2. Province of Dinagat Island. – There is hereby created a newprovince from the present Province of Surigao del Norte to be known as theProvince of Dinagat Island consisting of the municipalities of Basilisa, Cagdianao, Dinagat, Libjo (Albor), Loreto, San Jose and Tubajon...
Wow... that is minus 7 municipalities from the current province of Surigao del Norte.
I believe that the separation will lead to the development of the island. What do you think?
